our Community

Here you will find lots of information about how First Focus helps the local community.  After you have had a look please come and visit us. We run a community café where you can pop in for a chat, have a coffee and find out more about what we do.  A warm welcome awaits you.

First Focus is a charity in the centre of Fakenham that provides lots of free services to any member of the public.

We have experienced staff who can give you help with anything to do with your mental health, anxiety and well-being. These might include things like supporting with and making phone calls and/using the internet; help filling in forms that might seem complicated, on paper and online. You may want someone there you can trust, to listen, to talk to you and if needed give you confidential advice and reassurance on anything that might be worrying you, this can include one to one counselling.

You can also just come to relax in our café, where hot and cold snacks and drinks are available. A place to just be, or join to in and make new friends.  While here you can pick up food from the in-house Community Fridge, where food is available for a suggested donation or free, join in with activities and clubs.  We have a choice of things to do, arts and crafts, quizzes, Bingo (on a Thursday), table tennis, board games, Knit and Natter, Men without Sheds. Everyone is welcome, you can pop in as often as you like and make as much use as you want of any things here that we offer, we want you to get what you need out of our services, and if we can’t help, we will try and refer you too somewhere that can. First Focus is here for you.

DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIP

First Focus is a small Fakenham charity which relies on support from the local community to keep running. The charity provides IMMEDIATE help and support to all vulnerable people who walk through the door.
We need your donations to be able to continue- without funding and your help this service IS at risk.

Community Hot-Spot

We are now a Community Hot-Spot as part of the Norfolk Community Foundation, providing a warm space this winter for those who may need it.

Recent Events

We have renewed our partnership with Fakenham community archive group, enjoying their slideshow and promoting reminiscing. We have had NatWest in to provide information with the up coming closure of the Fakenham branch. We also continue with our popular Thursday Bingo, and we will be supporting and taking part in this years annual Duck race on the 18th of May.
Mental health support is also available please don’t feel alone.
