MAKING A GIFT TO FIRST FOCUS IN YOUR WILL
We are very grateful for any gift left to First Focus but naturally we understand the needs of your family and friends come first. However, if you do decide to make a bequest, you can be sure that your money will make an important contribution towards the work we do in supporting vulnerable people in the community
There are three main ways you can include a gift to First Focus in your will. It’s easy to arrange with the help of a solicitor and needn’t cost a lot of money.
Here we explain the three ways, as well as the information you need to include in your will to make sure we receive the gift.
A SHARE OF YOUR ESTATE
Once you’ve provided for your loved ones, you can leave a share of whatever remains to First Focus. It can be any percentage you like.
Example
I give to First Focus,Oak St, Fakenham NR21 9DY Charity Registration Number: 1106520___________% [proportion of residue in words] for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other duly authorised officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.
FIXED SUM OF MONEY
This is a gift of a specific amount of money.
Example
I give to First Focus Oak St, Fakenham NR21 9DY Charity Registration Number: 1106520 the sum of £__ [amount in words] for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other duly authorised officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.
GIFT OF A SPECIFIC ITEM
You can also choose to leave a particular item to First Focus, such as a piece of jewellery, an antique or even a property. A gift like this should be named in your will
Example
I give to First Focus Oak St, Fakenham NR21 9DY Charity Registration Number: 110652 [description of item(s)] absolutely for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other duly authorised officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.
All gifts to charity are tax-free.
